INSURANCE SPECIALIST
A Day in the Life an Insurance Specialist
On any given day at Megalodon Dental Practice Group you can expect to encounter the following:
- Arriving 30 minutes before start time to be ready to go at 8:00 am
- Working with a driven group of 5 other front office team members
- Caring for patients like family who just want an honest opinion and quality dental care
- Working in an office that knows how to move quickly but still provide excellent patient experiences
- As a practice, verifying insurance benefits for between 15-20 patients each day
- Use multiple technology platforms to verify insurance policy plans in detail
- Addressing multiple insurance claims, EOB’s, denials, and appeals
- Explaining policy information, coverages, and benefits to team members in an approachable way
- Checking on deadlines for claims
- Submit claims daily
- 30-day/60-day/90-day reports weekly
- Quarterly credentialing of Doctors as needed
- Breakdown of benefits at least two days to one week ahead
- Interfacing with patients through phone, email, and other platforms in a professional manner
- Multitasking between different roles at the same time
- Answering insurance phone calls and follow ups within regular business hours
- Assisting team members to present insurance benefits
- Being accountable for all administrative tasks
- Completing opening and closing duties as a team
- Serving as the “go-to” with any insurance questions and concerns that arise from team members and patients

FRONT DESK ASSISTANT
Purpose: The Front Desk Assistant’s primary role is to add value in a supporting role to the dental practice and to assist the Office Manager. This is accomplished by ensuring that the front desk is running efficiently.
Dream Front Desk Assistant: Works hard to help the Office Manager keep the front desk running in a smooth, effective and efficient manner while creating and maintaining a positive culture.

DENTAL ASSISTANT
A Day in the Life a Dental Assistant

- Caring for patients who just want an honest opinion and quality dental care
- Working in an office that knows how to move quickly but still provide excellent patient experiences
- Treating every patient like a family member
- Seeing between 15-20 patients each day
- Assisting through procedures in all areas of the clinical space, i.e. room setup/breakdown, four hand dentistry, sterilization, etc.
- Contributing to supply and inventory management
- Using all equipment with care and ownership
- Improving daily essential tasks such as taking quality x-rays, suctioning, and patient care
- Complimenting the hygienist in all aspects of preventative and periodontal procedures
- Completing opening and closing duties as a team
